-Perfect pink nude
February 21, 2020
I would describe this color as a dusty rose. It’s the exact shade I’ve been looking for to match my natural pink, which makes it a perfect nude for me. It takes at least two coats for full coverage and dries quickly with a semi matte look so a top clear coat will be needed.

-Beautiful colour
April 09, 2019
This colour is absolutely stunning! It’s like if lilac and tan had a baby. Definitely more purplish-pink than it looks on the website, but so pretty. I was going to use it for a base for French tips, but I decided it was too pretty to cover! Also has a really great formula. Full coverage in one thick coat or two thin ones. 10/10 would recommend!

-Favorite Nude
February 08, 2019
I discovered Rue when it was in my 1st Fabfitfun box years ago and instantly became the perfect nude I was looking for. I have reordered it twice since which is something I usually don’t do because I have many colors to choose from but this is my go to shade. It looks good on both my natural skin tone and when I am tanned in the Summer.

-Classy shade!
January 17, 2018
This is such a classy and subtle shade for the working professional. I wore it during interviews recently and it was subtle but beautiful.

-Nice!

This is a great neutral shade for me (fair/cool skin tone), though I do think it looks better when I have a bit of a tan.

-Rue

This is a go to color for work. A perfect nude that comes off as a brownish/beige with a hint of pink. I am ordering a second bottle as it will be perfect for year-round wear.

-Not as blush as expected

Looks like a lighter Brigitte on me. It’s nice. Would have preferred something less mauve, more blush.

-I Adore Rue!! ;-)
July 04, 2015
I really like the soft, baby-powder-pink hue this polish gives off on my skin tone. (A Black woman with medium light skin & yellow undertones) So far, all 3 of the Zoya nail lacquer/polish have performed quite well for me. I recently bought the Rue, Nana, and Flynn. They all lasted up to about a week, but as a fiddling Southern-bred housewife, I’ve had a chip or at the corners. No big thing for me, since re-colouring my nails. I really love the formulas are quite smooth & flowing with "cream" varieties. Most of all, the coats dry to touch at least 3 minutes waiting for the second coat!! ;-)

This is a work-safe neutral color, but it is more pink than beige.

different than pictured

When I got Rue I was disappointed as it looks nothing like on the site. It is much more mauve/purple. I was expecting it to be more pink as it is referred to as a blush cream. Nice enough color but don’t order it if you are looking for a pink tone.

Pretty Nude Pink
February 01, 2014
I normally don’t select nude shades, but picked this up during a promo because I can only wear pink & red nail polish colors to work as part of our appearance policy. Rue covers in one coat, which makes it handy for when I don’t have much time to spend painting my nails.
I wavered between ranking 4 and 5 stars, because I also picked up Portia at the same time. I think Portia will become my go to for natural/nude manicures when I have time because I prefer it’s lavender undertones over the brownish nude undertones, but Rue wins the category for when there’s not much time due to its opaqueness.
